I'm not kidding when I say this is a possibility. In today's climate where everyone has lost their minds, I can see them saying this poor immigrant was unjustly sentenced and the death penalty was a result of systemic racism, and he's "done his time" and should be released or something like that. It's truly sickening to see where this country has gone and it's only going to get a lot worse.
