Brian Kemp Says He Won Georgia Governor’s Race, but Stacey Abrams Isn’t Conceding
"With 100% of precincts reporting, Mr. Kemp led Ms. Abrams by more than 64,000 votes out of about 3.9 million cast, Mr. Kemp’s office said. That gave him 50.35% of the vote and Ms. Abrams 48.71%. A third candidate, Libertarian Ted Metz, had 0.95%.
Under Georgia law, candidates in a general election must win more than 50% of the vote or the top two vote-getters must campaign in a runoff.
Ms. Abrams told supporters in Atlanta early Wednesday that she wasn’t conceding."
