One of the companies I was assigned to had M3a1's and M231's in the armory collecting dust. No clue why they retained them, they were never issued. The bradleys in the company didn't even have firing ports anymore. I was pretty good friends with the armorer, so I acquired a bunch of M3 magazines in the wrap that got sold off over the years following.
