Bringing Balisongs in NY

Hi guys, so next month I will be vacationing in the Philippines for a few weeks and I want to buy a few balisongs there. Anyone know the laws regarding customs when it comes to balisongs or knives in general?

Of course if i want to buy a few it will be properly cased on a checked luggage but I know laws regarding balisongs are kinda messed up, so if anyone had experience bringing them back in the country or tips please share.

dont worry ive owned balisongs since i was a teenager but yes, for beginners you definitely need trainers.

there is a local shop that sells good quality ones, they dont have any website or doesnt ship so since i will be there anyways, i might as well buy some.
