This is a good plan.Dr. John Crichton, chairman of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, has urged lawmakers to prohibit the sale of pointed kitchen knives. Luton Crown Court judge Nic Madge has proposed a national program to file down the points of kitchen knives.
I know anything beyond an unlocking folding pen knife there in one's pocket is illegal.
London's mayor is of course a complete buffoon. I carry a locking knife and use it several times/week. It's superbly convenient and massively more functional (and safer) than an unlocking folding knife.
This is a good plan.
Why not prohibit the sale of food products that require cutting at all. Everything can be precut, like it would be if you were feeding a baby. If that's too far, at least we should require a simple license to buy a knife with some mandatory training.
It was only a couple of generations ago that country was in a fight for its life against Germany and withstanding air raids on the regular, now they are crying about kitchen knives.
