Brother wounded when gun goes off in fight with sibling

POUGHKEEPSIE – A fight between two brothers early Thursday morning in a garage at 16 Yates Boulevard in the City of Poughkeepsie ended when one brother shot the other.

The 28-year-old wounded sibling, Adam Hannon, sustained a gunshot to his forearm and was taken to Vassar Brothers Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening injury. He was arrested after his release by Town of Poughkeepsie Police for making terroristic threats at MidHudson Regional Hospital where he had been treated for a medical emergency.

Why did the gun go off? Was it trying to stop the dispute between the brothers or was it taking sides?
