Last February , a bought a Ruger PC9 carbine. On an impulse, I bought a Ruger 10/22 Carbine and begun to modify it as a companion for the PC9. What resulted is the Target Tactical 10/22. But, I soon discovered that the 10/22 was better used as a precision rimfire instead of a carbine trainer.
Of course, by this time, most of the original parts had been replaced. This suggests the philosophic "Ship of Thesius" problem: is it even still the same gun?
I replaced the Ruger receiver with a Brownells BR22R stripped 10/22 receiver and the genesis was complete.
The Brownells BR22R Green Mountain Magpul Hunter Tactical Target "10/22" was born. I think I need a shorter title.
Some 50 yard groups. A few fliers due to my poor skills.
A rebuilt the original 10/22, put tech-sights on it and shoot it at the local pistol range for carbine practice. Also squirrels ...
