State Police Superintendent Bruen resigns amid controversy
New York State Police Superintendent Kevin Bruen has resigned. He came under scrutiny by the governor in recent days.

Which Bruen?Hochul fired him over BRUEN....hahahaha!
Whatever one he identifies with today.Which Bruen?
NYSRPA v. Bruen is Bruen 1 because there is a Bruen 2 which was Antonyuk v. Bruen, so the case we won yesterday is Bruen 2.1 or Bruen 3.
I guess that sorry prick got tired of having losing cases named after him.
Fuck you, you fucking loser.
Depends on the man he is. Cuomo having to resign eats him up, I wish the same for Bruen. No worries for him. He will sit back, in retirement and collect an awesome pension.
He is not upset over this, not at all.

Either Bruen 0 or Bruen the Zero.Whatever one he identifies with today.
I said pretty much the same thing in a post earlier.Let’s not be so hasty to say he got fired or he is quitting. Maybe he is resigning in order to distance himself from the governor. If he voluntarily leaves that does not preclude him from being back in that position at a later date. I get the feeling he sees the writing is on the wall for this current administration. If he voluntarily leaves and distances himself he can later on be part of a new administration.
I get the feeling there has been much going on behind the scenes we are not privy too. Why this and why now? I have the feeling that because governor Hochul and attorney James are doubling down on gun control that it is causing too much undue attention to be brought on the state and by proxy the people who run things via back room deals (state contracts and dirty dealings) Hochul did not rise to power via traditional means like Cuomo did. Instead it was just given too her. She has gotten in chummy with several anti gun legislature members and not much else. I get the feeling that the people in power asked Bruen to talk to the governor and asked if he could get her to back off. Basically let the gun rights people have a few victories to appease them and then let things go quiet attention wise back to the status quo. Remember, if NYS pursues this into federal court and then supreme it will affect other heavily democrat run states like Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, California etc. might be better to concede ground on a state level Vs losing ground on a national level. Since Hochul is acting like a queen drunk with power she didn’t take to kindly to this. Hence why out of the blue an investigation into what seems to be a singular minor HR related issue. Tossing the head of the police to the curb just weeks before an election could cost her the police vote.
granted I am just an outsider looking in, but I feel that there is more to the why and now vs what we see on the surface
I can't agree with this at all. There are few, if any, political favors to be had by screwing a peaceful segment of your constituency (Law abiding gun owners).
Certainly no money in it for the state oligarchs, and that is all they are interested in - feeding off of the state trough via back room deals.
She has gone full tyrant/autocrat/fanatic on 2A infringement for really no benefit to anyone except her own deranged ego.
Ugh!Hochul was previously vetting Deputy Licari, (who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and who also serves as the Dutchess County sheriff’s office liaison to the LGBTQ+ community) for the governer to assign as a replacement for the acting Dutchess County Sheriff. It just so happens that Licari's mother is the chair of a local town's Democratic committee to boot.
Checks off a few of Hochul's boxes.

You can bet whoever he is replaced with will be worse, more liberal, and will push more and more gun control. Those saying he was tasked with keeping her from doing something stupid like fun control don’t know NYS then. Their followers love what happened here they do not support us or our rights no matter how law abiding we are or not.Hochul was previously vetting Deputy Licari, (who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and who also serves as the Dutchess County sheriff’s office liaison to the LGBTQ+ community) for the governer to assign as a replacement for the acting Dutchess County Sheriff. That looks like AOC wearing one of those sticker police badges they give to kids at the fair.Hochul was previously vetting Deputy Licari, (who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and who also serves as the Dutchess County sheriff’s office liaison to the LGBTQ+ community) for the governer to assign as a replacement for the acting Dutchess County Sheriff. The article I posted said that Negrelli has already been named. More details on him being named interim. It's being reported and believed FUKH was canning Bruen's ass after the election anyway ... considering his ties to FUAC.
There is also scuttlebutt being reported about the handling of the FUAC daughter / NYSP Trooper trist dooming Bruen's career with FUKH.
Won't be a suprise if Nigrelli becomes a temporary place holder until after the election.
