You shall not speak of this device to my wife. She thinks I accomplished a major engineering project.I use one of these with my tumbler. I usually let it run for 3 hours.

Before I got the timer, I'd forget about the tumbler and it would run all night.
You did. I pussied out.You shall not speak of this device to my wife. She thinks I accomplished a major engineering project.
I have an ancient Midway vibrator that has been used for almost 15 years. I've only loaded it 2/3 max brass load. This past week I think I polished about 6000 rounds of .45 and 9mm. I change media about once a year and add polish about every 10 batches. Must be the dryer sheets I use. This is my original vibratory cleaner.Rotating tumblers take more time to clean. I set it for a full dial 12hrs (10hrs actual time). I never had good luck with vibratory tumblers. They all burned out, some in only few month, some in few years. I had 4-5 of them. Dillon lasted the longest. Offset weight on the motor shaft kills the bearings and then the motor. It's a simple, but very flawed design.
I bought RCBS sidewinder in 2006 and it is still running. It was way too expensive, but it lasts.
