Just heard from the news....5.56 and .308 can defeat body armor @ 2 MILES and the fire rate of a FA "assualt type" weapon is 400 rds a second. :)


The fire rate is just....ugh...:ROFL:

Now the 2 mile distance on the .308 and defeating body armor?

Possible?

Yesterday some reporter, I seem to recall his first name was Alex, was on Hannity's radio show telling Hannity that a really close buddy of his, a retired LEO, told him that it had to have been belt fed guns used in Las Vegas because of how many rounds had been fired, then changed it to belt or drum fed. He also mentioned that drum clips (he kept saying clips) were totally illegal unless you applied for and obtained a license which he either said or implied was issued by the feds. Also blabbed about some other absolute balderdash relative to firearms and magazines. Hannity seemingly was relying on this guy as an expert as relative to reporting on such stuff. I so wanted to call in and debunk that arsehat but they did not give out the number and apparently they were not taking calls.

The media in general make me want to vomit when discussing firearms. It's like watching a 7 year old try to talk about high level physics on camera with a straight face.

Why when these things happen to you bother to pay any attention to the uneducated that obtain a 2 minute education in Google and then regurgitate it like they know what the duck they're talking about? How cares what they think, say, or repeat. Let them wallow in their stupidity. Worse thing we do is educate them. I'd love to see all those putz walking around with some plate armor because they're afraid! LMAO!

Id rather try to educate them.
We have the SafeAct because of false information and fake news.
If the general public believes these false facts, we lose them to the dark side.

Yeh, about 20 times the rate of an mg42 seems about right if you listen to the body cam tape.

I've found that usually "they" don't want to hear anything and already know it all. "They" already made their mind up and don't want to debate. When you challenge by asking questions for "them" to justify their position they can't articulate an argument. Start talking about the Constitution and you're just a "gun nut", because they really don't know anything about it other than how it protects who you can have sex with, or a woman's right to choose, etc. Last time I tried, I really tried, gave it time, had multiple discussions with an entrenched liberal... And after it all was said and done, he just stared quite clearly he didn't give a shot, he felt nobody but police and military should have guns, end of story! Lol...

I've asked a simple question to start things off after that, and I ask the person if they've ever been the victim of a robbery, mugging, assault, rape, etc. And if affirmed, I ask of they felt they would have liked to have been armed in some manner of if they have since the experience! And most, almost all, agreed and said yes or that they are! So it's all subjective and largely personal experience and it beliefs, two that are both powerful effects on our minds and nothing you "say" will change that...

Is my opinion...

My comment was aimed at the ignorant, not the knowingly deceiving.
I am talking about educating the masses that soak up the drivel spewed by the lying media and hardcore liberals.

I see... Have you considered...

That is an almost impossibility any more... the constant barrage of misinformation takes root early and sows the seeds that bear fruit much later. We all know that there are no schools discussing the merits of the Constitution being held steadfast in the face of contemporary forces wanting to do it harm sue to recent events. But I can assure you, those very same schools "are" indoctrinating students about alt-lifeatyles, white privilege, slave reparations and more!

I need to find the article, but it laid out that millennials basically accept as fact 80% of what they read or search online! What you propose is an uphill, very steep, uphill battle!
