Like New York?Well, when you live in a country with no constitution you also have to live with the consequences.
Everyone has been a test run. Look what they got away with in Australia. Its a test run for the US If the gun owners are candyasses and let it ride We’ll be next
I'm sure the Canucks are alot like us. Populated liberal cities are cumming in their pants, and the rural areas throwing a fit.Good. This is what I like to see. An elected official that is not afraid to make big changes and big decisions.
I do not know what the overall feelings are in Canada in regards to guns, if this is what the majority of people want, good for him and good for them.

Fuck what the majority of people want. Canada is a different country, but as far as this country goes, it was built to protect the minority so that all rights were protected. Even the less popular ones.Good. This is what I like to see. An elected official that is not afraid to make big changes and big decisions.

Majority rule is mob rule.
No! Rule of law. Founding documents. We all have unalienable rights, reguardless of whether we want to exercise them or not. Or if they are "in fashion" or not. Our system was designed to protect us from our lesser nature. It was designed to protect us from tyranny and idiocy like this.Even better, if the non-Majority wants gun control, give it to them.

The western rural Provinces didn’t comply with the previous ban and RCMP gave up
I know it's in Canada, but the context was as it applies here in the States. Canada is no stranger to government overreach and if I remember correctly, they tried to force registration of long guns and were met with stiff resistance. Canadians didn't give a fuck and let their government know. This is in Canada. I do not know what they have written. These unalienable Rights, not even sure what they are any more. Lots of words, lacking meaning these days.

If they weren't registered I would guess they would suffer a rash of boating accidents.Okay, that all may be true. But, now handguns are illegal. What will the Canadians do about it? I am curious to see how this plays out.
They, as a nation, caved pretty hard when it came time for Covid, very much like the US.

With a registry, you're stuck with comply or fight.
That's why you never register them.
I am curious to see what happens as well.Okay, that all may be true. But, now handguns are illegal. What will the Canadians do about it? I am curious to see how this plays out.
