Didn't watch but inclined to believe if CO2 should be good to go. Starting to be inclined to believe it's all GTG actually. Rule of law don't matter during elections it sure as Fuck doesn't matter to me.

I would definitely say it’s good to go in NYS the only thing that might not be good to go is the pepper balls. Nys restricts the level of pepper in the pepper spray and as far as I know it’s like half what the police use. These are pepper balls though so not sure if they even regulate pepper balls maybe just the sprays.
On a side not I’m normally not a fan of less lethal options. I feel they hinder you. Say if you go less lethal and they pull a gun after just threatening you. Then you have to drop this and draw your gun. Also many reports of pepper spray and tasers being ineffective against people under the influence. With that being said I like this one as a less lethal option. Will I get it no because I wouldn’t carry it. It’s would be like carrying two guns. Kimber used to make a small pepper blaster I’d consider getting.
They make one gun shaped too. Same thing though I’d check the % of pepper to be sure it’s legal.

Out of state family members who carry, have these for visiting company. They were told they can not bring them to NYS and have to use an ffl to purchase in NYS but vendor will ship to NYS ffl.

I see now. They will ship the solid balls and the inert powdered balls to all of NYS except NYC area but nothing pepper related to all of NYS. Likely the pepper concentration is too high plus the stupid laws.This site link certainly has the restrictions listed

i just seen this the other day and was thinking if allowed in NY .. would be a way to have something when going into a "gun free zone" ..

You would have to ask the manufacturer why they don't deal with NY and CA. It could be they don't meet existing requirements / limitations (e.g. concentration, size, etc), it could be their legal advisor / insurance advisor, it could be they were already threatened by litigation by NY. Your guess would be as good as mine. Let us know if the manufacturer tells you but they would not give a specific reason to those I know who already asked the manufacturer.
Don't believe that is correct pepper spray for self-defense (against humans) is specifically allowed under NY law it has to be purchased through FFL or pharmacist. There is limitation on canister size but not concentration as far as I know. Bear spray etc can be mailed direct. Have no idea why this manufacturer won't ship to NY FFL maybe they just don't want to bother with politics.

Not going to lie this seems like nonsense to me.
Why would you want something that size with limited effectiveness when you can get a can of Saber or POM OC spray.

There are plenty of instances when a less than lethal option is the correct option.
That being said carrying something the size and well shape of a gun that you have to then use like a gun and hope you 1st hit them with the pepperball then hope the pepper ball breaks (anyone that has played paintball knows its not 100% going to break on impact) then going to even work.
OR
You can deploy OC spray (not bear spray or a fogger or gel, but an actual quality OC spray such as Saber or POM) which is smaller and easier to use/deploy with better more instant results
