C&R Firearms Discussion?

Is there a section on C&R rifles and handguns on this forum? I didn't see one at first glance. I'd love to see some of guns you guys have out there and maybe even make a few friends/contacts. Could be a good way to network as well.

Ill start with one of my recent acquisitions.

My bcd "a block" Gewehr 43, all matching number metal parts and stock, circle V inspector marked small parts. Wearing a Repro sight hood (until I find an original) and a Texled '44 Sling (As a substitute for my real '44 sling). As owned at one point by Darrin Weaver, writer of "Hitlers Garand's"

No pictures, but I once briefly had a jhv 41 G98/40. It had been sporterized. I sold it for twice what I had into it. Plus I removed the front site hood and sold that for the same money as the rifle.

I have a few Japanese rifles, a couple T38s, T38 carbines, and T99s.

I have a couple of shotguns that would meet C&R. A couple more rifles that are getting close to 50

I abhor Chinese C&R.

Just rubs me the wrong way.

But European, Communist C&R ?

They seem to be universally well-designed and well-made. Which is ironic, as their consumer goods are widely inferior.

P-64, Tokarev, Nagant, CZ-82, Yugo M59, .... all excellent.

I have a Enfield 303 British with Indian trench art on the butt plate and other metal parts. Definatly not professionally done. Ive asked around and the best anyone can guess is its just trench art done by an Indian soldier during one of their many wars.
I really wish I knew more.
It has several Indian gods and Hindi writing that was translated to say, "I love my family, I love my country, god bless India."

I'm thinking about getting a C&R FFL. Filled out the form. The lockdown hit and I put it on pause. Figured I'd wait till after because the department was probably short handed. Now I'm too busy with other priorities. I hope to revisit it in a few months.

Nice! My T99 is a 5th series Nagoya too. Bolt m/m with a duffle cut.

I have a Brno 8mm Mauser made for the Shah of Iran in the 1920's. Workmanship is of a quality found only on custom bolt guns these days and it is in excellent condition.

I'd like some extra magazines, and thought I would wait. Then I remembered November 3rd.

I had a C&R for a long while and felt it was worth it. I let it expire as I pretty much picked up what I wanted. $30 gets you 3 years to buy C&R long guns direct to your door. As expected in NY C&R pistols still have to go through an FFL.

Bought my first Russian Mosin last week, RGUNs PU Sniper. I've had 2 M39s, but needed a all Russian gun to round out my collection. Ain't no time like the present my friend, you've already got decent collection now, keep going!

Yeah I had a day off and was driving around across the river checking out all the LGSs over there and happened to walk in and found that under the glass. I think I still have the tag somewhere. I've literally never left a store and went to an ATM faster than that day... hahaha
