CAA Micro roni stab vs Shockwave technologies ends brace 2.0

So my understanding is the micro roni stabilizer is legal to use with a Glock/other pistol.

So does anyone know the reason that a Shockwave technologies brace 2.0 with endo adapter might not be legal?
I am asking cause the LGS that I was in said the micro roni was fine because it is an accessory but did not think the shockwave 2.0 for Glock was???

It's a legal accessory but once you put it on your Glock, you know have a shroud that completely encircles your barrel and a second hand grip.

But if you do the shockwave technologies endo with brace 2.0 there is no shroud or 2nd grip so in essence that one would be legal then correct??

Only if you believe that the federal definition of firearm does not supersede the New York definition of firearm when there is a conflict in the law and the supremacy clause takes effect. If that is the case which it's supposed to be the case, then just having a firearm that isn't registered goes against penal law 265.

That's why I don't mess with that garbage. You aren't getting anything with a shockwave anyway.

Not sure I follow you? So does NY law say a pistol is a firearm and not a pistol when a brace is attached? If that is the case then why is my AR pistols with braces then firearms and not pistols?

New York law only says that pistols and revolvers and short-barreled rifles and shotguns are firearms.

You can't have firearms unless they are registered. So if a Mossberg shockwave is considered federally a firearm and New York has no way of defining it then the federal definition via the supremacy clause can be used. Since the Mossberg shockwave is now considered a firearm federally by definition and used by NY since there is a conflict on the definition, New York can say that you have an unregistered firearm by using the federal one.

It hasn't happened yet. Maybe it'll never happen. But a prosecuting lawyer can argue that point.

Thanks for posting that.

After watching that whole video, that Flux brace I thought I really liked looks like a pile of shit now. Sigh... "not a stock" .... come on, how cheesy and disappointing. It's definitely going to need further improvements. It's just way too simple of a mechanism to have any issues closing and engaging. It reminds me of like a cheap airsoft/bb gun accessory or something. Hard to take seriously now.
