Cabelas gun sign up sheet

Went to cabelas to buy my son a benchmade knife and thought is drop by the gun counter to see what they had. I’ve been wanting to compare the 365 bs the 365 xl. I was in a hurry so I was prepared to have to just walk by. I noticed the gun counter was all roped off and there was a sign up sheet like a doctors office. I was like man screw that I'm not signing up for nothing. I’ll buy elsewhere. Who knows what other customers could walk up and look at that list to discover your address for a burglary. No thanks!
They had zero ammo except odd riffle calibers, shotgun shells, and very expensive rimfire cartridges. Gun selection was picked over too. I took a beet quick peak and left quickly.

Sure you can put down a fake phone number for sure. Also address not sure if it was there or not I really didn’t look at it because I wasn’t doing it anyway. The issue is for those of us with unique names it’s not hard to find an address. I’m literally 1/1 with my name in the USA. That’s also why I would 100% refuse to show a clerk my pistol permit to purchase ammo.

also if it’s a Covid list why don’t I have to sign in to enter the store? It was only at the gun counter. I purchased a locked up knife for my son.

Also stopped by dicks yesterday because we were at a mall with one in it to see what ammo they had and they have removed nearly all their hunting supplies. I walked in made a stupid comment so a worker could hear me and left.

I don’t actually. That’s why I’m waiting to buy u til things calm down so I can compare them. They at least had the 365 xl. Didn’t even look for the 365. I didn’t want anything to do with the BS to look at a gun and wait. I had to get my pork loin on the smoker.

GUN/AMMO/SIGN-UP SHEET UPDATE
I was just at Cabela's. I was getting my car washed at Delta Sonic and figured I'd stop to verify you guys . The sign-up sheet is so they don't have crowds of people hanging out at the gun counter. Put any name you want down and they will call you when it's your turn to come up. So what if they call you "Gertrude"? When they call you up, go back to the sheet and cross out your number if you want. It wasn't busy when I was there so I just browsed on my own.

They had a few nice looking guns in the case. An FN 5.7 and an FNX-45 both caught my attention. The 45 I might actually go back and get. They also had a G43 and 2 nice looking Beretta full sized 92X 9mm's. Standard selection of Kimber, including a 10mm 1911. Handful of revolvers, a few M&P pistols.

I was actually going to buy some Hoppe's bore solvent but it's expensive there, and I looked at some Gun Scrubber, again very expensive. I actually looked it up on Amazon while I was there and it's under $6 there, Cabela's wanted $13. Ammo was pretty bare. All of the shelves along the wall that used to have ammo where now filled with gun cases.

I had a nice old guy come up to me in the Gun Library and ask me to put a mask on. He said something like "We have to ask you to wear a mask in here". He was very nice about it and you could tell he had a smile. I replied, "I'm exempt, but I also stay away from people". He said, "Oh alright, we're just supposed to mention it to you". Then he answered a few gun related questions for me. Very nice guy. I also had a lady who I assume was some type of manager pass by me and give me a nice "Hello how are you today?" I saw 3 or 4 other people in there without a mask on. I'm not sure if the brainwashing is wearing off or it's just the clientele of that type of store that won't be told what to do by a power hungry governor.

I know that is what it’s for I’m just not comfortable with it and these people need to think before they do things. They had a thing there and you took a number before. Why change? Gun owners aren’t usually comfortable with these things.
