They are scared Trump will win and roll back their communist ideologies on energy and the climate. Apparently Stellantis/dodge made a deal with Newsome and California to meet their climate goals. Looks like a dodge ram is off my list of next vehicle and screw them. Toyota is the only one that hasn’t bowed to Biden and they will get my business even though I would much prefer a V-8 truck and they only make a turbo 6.

I have been wanting to buy a Ram CTD in the 4th Gen variety. I have had no desire for a new version, and now carry a disdain for them. Been wanting a pre smurf piss model. Preferably 2011 or2012. 13 and up .... well lots of mods would ensue.

After loosing my 7.3l Ford, I'm longing for a diesel. The 6.0 Chevy is killing me at the pump. Living in the hills isn't helping. The Cummins 12v I had a while back makes me long for another straight 6.

They may have removed the BTU from diesel fuel, aka Sulphur, but it still gets better mileage then gasoline.

When I think of Jeep, I think of the Jeep Wrangler or Cherokee with low-powered, but extremely durable engines, frames, and drivetrains that are easy to work on with tons of mods and a huge cult-style following. Again -- Definitely not complicated EVs.

While lounging around a family member sent me this... those guys had balls to do that, but I see their point.

In retrospect, that truck that they are demoing is not even remotely eco friendly. The MPGe must be horrific. But all people see is "electric". There's a saying for it... A jaded mind is the result of false conclusions concerning experiences. Electric is not the way forward.

I love my little 2000 Tj, it works. Its easy to work on. All the new stuff just sucks ---- all of it.

The only vehicle I will consider buying from Stellantis again is the RAM 2500>5500. More so once the ZF 8 Speed comes out for the entire HD line.

At that point the RAM Heavy Duty trucks will only be a frame/body from a corrupt company, and the main components (engine/transmission/transfer case/front/rear end) are 3rd party. Totally different than a lot of Stellantis vehicles.

There are zero new vehicles that are all American parts and labor.

Just curious on why? Tundra is more American than any other truck out there last I checked. Been a while and I know ford is trying the same. I guess the Honda Ridgeline edged it out by a bit.

OTOH, I have a 12,000lb truck with a 465cu in diesel from the 1970s that somehow only makes 135hp from the factory.

It will run on anything that burns, and last forever, just don't plan on getting anywhere fast.

Ok, and it has a warning sticker that the driver and passengers need to wear hearing protection.

Do you know how loud a vehicle needed to be for the US army to require hearing protection in the 1970s ?

I’ll bet they are investing more money overseas than they are here. Th Eleanor rate and environmental regs are killing them here. Any money invested here is going towards the EV plants to cut jobs. EV vehicles require less people to make and are more automated. I get doing it to save money but I’ll bet the cars won’t decrease in price.

American made isn’t so cut and dry these days. a toyota tundra is more American made than a ford f150 these days. In fords defense they say they are trying to change that.

C'mon man... Slice and dice it any way you want but not much of anything with wheels and an engine is USA made any more. Cars, trucks, motorcycles. Bits and pieces, a percentage, is about it. USA assembled seems to be right popular for manufacturers to brag about though. Same goes for appliances and electronics. For many if not most pharmaceuticals we depend on the enemy, or so I've read. The USA has fucked itself right in the ass, and continues to do so year after year. And considering the events at our southern border government doesn't even bother to use Vaseline when they shove it up our collective asses.
