Camp cooking stove

I have a camper and I love to hike and camp but I’d like to do more cooking while out there. I normally precook everything and use the camp fire ring with charcoal. I like to cook breakfast and it’s just kind of hard to do over an open flame and there’s times we are running behind and would just like to turn on a propane stove. My camper has an oven so an oven isn’t necessary but it’s not bad if there is an oven either.
What do you all recommend? I’ve thought about just getting a black stone and being done with it and I may do that. I’m just looking to see what’s out there. I also would not like to spend too much because it will be left outside at the campground. I camp with a large group and there are people around 99% of the time so theft isn’t a huge concern.

We have a stove/oven combo in the camper that we use regularly. But I set this up outside and is handy when cooking bacon or burgers or boilng water for pasta.

have a stove/oven in the camper, but use a portable coleman with a burner/grill from tent days the most.

I have that as well and I may just try to use that. My wife claims she didn’t know we had it. I said it’s in the camper pass through since the day we’ve owned the camper all the way back to our tent days. I may also buy a small black stone to use for bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Yum.

Blackstone, 22". you can get a propane tank attachment, or if you have a built in tank with a quick connect attachment ( like a air compressor quick connect ) the hose we got is like, 10 or 12 feet.

If you drag the picnic table close enough, you can use that or set up a coleman folding table

I have that hook up on my camper so I may go this route.

I use a Coleman 2 burner stove for pots/pans that I got for about $90 or so many years ago. And then a Blackstone 22" 2 burner flat top griddle for cooking direct. I think I paid around $150ish for that. And I got an adapter and hose to be able to hook it up to a 20lb propane tank instead of the single use 1lbers. It uses gas like it's going out of style.

Our camping tradition for many years has been Rochester garbage plates on our first night at the campground. We take a little piece of home whereever we go.

I have a 3 burner 32" Blackstone at camp, and I love it. I'm a little sad every fall when we close down and pack it away. If we camped more, I'd definitely consider a 22" travel version. Right now, the only thing I take to cook on is a portable gas grill, but I would like to get one of the 2 burner colemans, I think.

For me, camp is almost 3 hours away. I do want one for home, but I need a bigger deck to have space for that and the grill.

I cook all of our dinner meals over an open fire on a stainless steel grate. For breakfast we use a Coleman two burner stove and a large cast iron griddle. The griddle works perfectly for bacon, eggs and flap jacks and clean up is a breeze. It’s just the two of us now but it’s basically the same setup that we used when the kids were small .

The Blackstone has my interest. I bought my son a 22" with hood for Christmas.

For camping, I have an el cheapo table top grill that I bought years ago to keep in my service truck. Since I always had access to propane, I got a hose to hook up to bigger tanks.

But for years even before that, we got a Camp Chef 2 burner camp stove. 2 x 30,000btu burners. I can use it table top or it also has legs. We use cast iron pans on it.
