At first I didn’t see the gun in his hand so I was thinking roll up the window and drive away. The gun in his hand changes everything with his actions and blocking the guys exit. NYS is a duty to retreat but would retreat in cause him to shoot? It’s very possible. It escalated quickly and I feel he was ok to shoot and in NYS you’re as likely to get charged as not.

I agree. But at some point you’ll have to turn around and if you’re in reverse it’s hard to watch what the crazy man is doing. If you reverse does he shoot? With the gun you’re justified to drive forward and run him over IMO but again does he shoot then? Hard to know what to do or not do. I certainly would t have the window down.
