Long Island, New York pizza shop owner is speaking out after he was canceled for flying a Trump flag in the back of his store.
In a Thursday interview on “Varney & Co.” with host Stuart Varney, Patio Pizza owner Guy Caligiuri explained that a woman who had come into store last Friday night to pick up an order noticed his flag and “took offense” after one of Caligiuri’s employees explained it was his.

The customer then announced that she was the administrator of a Facebook page and would post about the encounter on the social media platform with the intent of driving Patio Pizza out of business.




“I’ve been in business for 43 years and I’ve seen a lot,” said Caligiuri. “And, I just took it in stride… I just ignored it, basically.”

However, a short time later, the restauranteur recalled his phone began to ring with calls about “this woman who had posted nasty things about me online and was asking the [St. James] community to boycott Patio Pizza.”

But to Caligiuri’s surprise, on the following morning, New Yorkers from all over Long Island came to Patio Pizza, vocalizing their support for his business and for the president.

“They supported our president. They support the flag that I had hanging in the back of my store,” he recalled.

She can say whatever she wants, it cannot hurt a good business.

I will tell you this, cancel culture latched onto Chik Fil A for a much worse offence....Christianity and gay marriage.....but it didnt work.
Chik Fil A has 2.6 miles of customers backed up everytime I drive by.

If the guy has good pizza, he has nothing to worry about. The lefties have no ability to stand for anything thats difficult. And not eating pizza is difficult.

"If the guy has good pizza, he has nothing to worry about. " I wouldn't bet the House on that statement. The crap in the Country has gone far from just verbal jabs to total demolishing of a structure and even worse to owner's and worker's. As with anything people will "verbally" support in a friendly crowd but when the fecee's hit the rotary blades..most don't have the spine to do the right thing. I call them "cheerleaders" and they occupy both sides

As for defamation, it depends what she says ... And whether or not the statements are opinion, or delivered as fact. Like don't eat there because I had seen rats running around, or don't support them because they support politicians who don't support you. There's a difference...

Name one business that has suffered from the lefties boycotting it.........none that I can find.
There are a few that have suffered a bit from rightwing boycotting but most will bounce back.....under armour, Ben And Jerrys, Gillette.......but none from the left.
Chik Fil A should be out of business. Ive seen people burst into fits of crying and rage at the mear mention of Chik Fil A......but they are STILL the #1 fast food joint in the USA.
Nope, if the guy has good food, lefties will still buy it, they have weak moral character and only "boycott" when orhers are looking.

I've never been to Patio Pizza, but damnit, next time I'm in the area I'm gonna go. Upstate NY by and large can't hold a candle to downstate in the pizza department (with exceptions, but they're few and far between, and usually originated downstate or in NJ).

I can't say who has the best between up and downstate because I wouldn't go to NY City if My way was paid and I could eat all the pizza I wanted for free.
