To be fair a smoke Grenade is quite a bit different from the little colored smoke bombs you find in a grocery store.

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – New York State Police arrested a convicted felon from Cazenovia after finding 14 guns, ammunition and other weapons in his possession.
Anthony J. Bair, 49, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a C felony.

Police say Bair is charged with possessing the following:

• 7 handguns
• 7 long guns/shotguns
• large quantities of handgun, shotgun, and rifle ammunition
• Assault Rifle style parts/semi-automatic pistol parts with no serial numbers
• Multiple 30 round Assault Rifle style magazines
• (2) Ballistic body armor with trauma plates
• Ballistic helmet
• 2 smoke grenades

Bair was arraigned and is currently being held at the Madison County Jail in lieu of bail or bond.

Wouldn't be enough prisons to keep everyone locked up. Those that are "less-dangerous" are released with restrictions in place to try to limit the risk to the public. It's effectiveness is questionable.

Get rid of victimless crimes, like this one, and you'd be closing more prisons.

And in fact, get rid of indeterminate sentences as a whole. Free society should not be a testing ground.
