Considering no crime was committed and the DNA was sent to the FBI and stored in their database this is a violation of their rights with or without consent. No reason for this at all. If the DNA wasn’t on file to begin with why ask for it? There’s no way to compare it anyway. This is purely about collecting data to find criminals. I can’t support this at all.

Isn't this no different than what New York required to get a permission slip to exercise a Right?
i distinctly remember having to provide a cheek swab as part of the background check to get my permit.

I get a search but how is this related to a search? They had no DNA on file for these people so what verification tool was this? This does not help verify who they are or why they are returning to the country nor does it help them identify if they are currently committing a crime. They then added these DNA profiles to the FBI database.
I could understand your line of thinking if they had a DNA profile on file to verify his identity or if he was subject to a warrant for a crime committed to see if it was him or not.

DNA on most illegals deported is fact.
DNA swabs on the remaining illegals will proceed.

They take everyone's photo like a mug shot too. I see this as the same.

What rights? You don't have any rights. You have temporary privileges that the government can do away with any time it wants. Think I'm wrong? Review modern history and you'll see the story plain as daylight.

Hint, how far away from the nearest international airport do you live ? I bet it's not far enough.

The proper response from the Citizen in Chicago should have been "Fuck you, unless i'm under arrest or you have a warrant"

Complete sidenote- There is so many DNA results out there there are very few people that cannot be identified at least to a family. Then there is the mandatory DNA screening at birth that is "not used for identification". Sure.

We won world War II with a population of 130 million.

Today, we have 350 million, most of whom need to be identified for voting, employment- citizenship status, and for incarceration.

I am very much in favor of securing the border. If it was up to me the wall would gave machinegun nests.

BUT, I live in the US about 15 miles from the southern border and every time I drive basically anywhere north I have to go through a permanent border checkpoint. It's not super invasive, 95% of the time they wave you through without even coming to a complete stop. But it's existance still pisses me off.

They specifically cut or blocked all the other roads north except for I19 to force all traffic through that checkpoint. It's disgusting.

It's like a lot of our aggressive policing. The government causes a problem (with policies that attract illegals like honey attracts ants, or a revolving door at the courthouse that makes arresting criminals almost useless).

Then they use that problem as an excuse to get aggressive in some other area.

"We won't keep criminals locked up, so we're going to make it way too easy to arrest people"

"We let in illegals left and right, so we need to take some shortcuts with the 4th ammendment to round them all up"

It's very much like a drug addict who injures themself on purpose just for the pain killers. Only in this case its the government cultivating crime so they have an excuse to trash the bill of rights.

I vaguely remember this. I think it had something to do with a pilot program and detainees who's citizen status was unknown and were swept up at the border due to improper ID or paperwork. I mean 2000 is a low number so something had to trigger the collection. :beer:

Arizona has traditionally been a leaky sieve for illegals to enter.............capturing those already living in AZ, IS A GOOD THING.

Be Grateful for their attention to this serious problem. Drug mules are real.

Illegals have no rights.
