A while back I started to use CCI AR Tactical because I got a deal on a damaged case, basically a solid nose mini-mag with a different shaped copper washed bullet. Who’s main purpose was to solve feeding issues in AR based 22LR rifles. I found it works great in all of my semi-auto and bolt actions, causing me to buy more.
Just recently I got a chance to buy some of the CCI Clean-22, relatively cheap, the polymer coated ammo, so when I mention this to a friend he said he had some and he would drop it off for me to try. It was the Christmas themed pack that had bright red and green color coatings., he gave me 70-80 rounds, I really was not impressed. About 3 days later he dropped off a different sample, and it was totally different, the first batch was the SV version, the second batch was the HV version, the diffence for me was night and day.
I then went out and bought 3200 rounds in 400 round jars, it was the Realtree camo version, with black, dark green and gray coatings, it shot great. Based only on sound, they were very consistent, no FTE or FTF issues, all fired first time, every tim, we’re very accurate and were very clean. I have a CZ, a Savage and a Remington, that have ejection issues with certain brands of ammo, all of them used it without a single issue.
i was so happy with it, I bought an addition 4800 rounds.
