Shooting in Central Nyack
CENTRAL NYACK – Clarkstown Police are investigating a shooting at 52 Mountainview Avenue in Central Nyack that occurred just before 7 on Thursday night.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was shot in the leg and was transported to Nyack Hospital by Nyack Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
The Clarkstown Detective Bureau and the Crime Scene Unit are investigating the shooting.
Initial police radio transmissions said police were looking for four suspects who fled toward Woods Road.
The police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting to call them at 845-639-5840 or by sending an anonymous tip to TIP411, by clicking on ‘Submit A Tip’ button on the Clarkstown Police Facebook page at facebook.com/clarkstownpd .
