Reportedly, first marshal was met at the door with a handgun. Then a second shooter with a long gun started shooting from a second floor.
My son got stuck in traffic on I-77 for about an hour. They closed the interstate for emergency vehicles to get to the hospitals.

Very little has been released about this case including the names and nationalities of the shooters
The Us marshalls were involved in this which means hes a bail jumper or wanted by Law enforcement and is running . This guy is no Mother Theresa.
My inclination is that these people are tied to the Cartels in some way .This is how they deal with cops in Mexico. I dont know , could have just been drunken crack heads for all I know, but thats my thought on it . the fact that the identities of the suspects haven't been released makes me raise an eyebrow. If these 4 officers were killed by illegal aliens , it wouldn't go over well in an election year

Law enforcement authorities in North Carolina, principally in the western and southern areas of the state, indicate that Mexican criminal groups are also increasing their involvement in retail drug distribution. This is precipitating violence between Mexican criminal groups and African American retail dealers who traditionally controlled retail drug distribution in these areas.

Here is reported picture of the initial shooter from X and Heavy.com. And somewhat shocking it is also reporting that the two individuals who later exited the home where hundreds of rounds were apparently fired on the officers (and either one or both are believed to have been shooting at the cops) are women! One is reported to be 17 years old.

Well, they continue to let these types of scum live among us an breath oxygen, so what did they expect to happen.
Sure seems like they underestimated the violent and deadly risks posed by him and those with him. I read elsewhere that Charlotte used to, but no longer has a full time SWAT team? Not sure about that, but it seems like they should have approached and surrounded the house differently. Like with fully armored vehicles. And demanded that everyone exit. And then, if the residents opened up on them, they should have leveled it and taken out those inside.
I have also read that the cops later used armored vehicles to “open up” the home and ripped out windows and doors. Don’t know if that was before the shooter(s) in the home surrendered.
From TV news reports here, it looked like every cop in Charlotte showed up. There were cop cars EVERYWHERE!
Of course, it is easy to Monday morning QB it. Just sad overall.
Could and should have been a very different outcome. Curious to learn more about the perps involved here. I don’t know if NC has the death penalty but it sure seems justified for the shooter(s) inside the home.
