In regards to these types of incidents, after reading some comments, one can always ascertain who has never been part of anything like this.
Im not even sure what happened yet. The media and the police are tight lipped about it. I cant tell if the 2 females arrested were still shooting after suspect was killed. first reports were that as police approached the suspects body on front lawn , people in the house opened fire on them . Not sure that happened either. At some point police SWAT armored car ripped the front of the house down I dont know if it was before or after the suspect was killed . We also dont know if other suspects escaped while females remained in the house. It looks like people in the house did fire on officers but I cant get a straight story or time line. There’s no prerequisite to have been on an interdiction like this to realize it was a clusterfuck of an operation.
Sooo....., did the CMPD immediately swab the hands of these two women for gunshot residue? It was widely reported here (and even the CMPD Chief Jonnie Jennings confirmed it as I recall) that the two women taken out of the house were taken directly to CMPD HQ.Im not even sure what happened yet. But Hughes was not the only shooter, Police Chief Johnny Jennings said in a news conference.
When [officers] approached Hughes they were met by gunfire and returned the gunfire, striking Hughes, who was found deceased in a yard', Jennings said.
Officers then received 'additional gunfire' from within the residence, but it is not yet clear whose bullets struck which officers, and how many cops were hit overall.
The identity of the second shooter also remains unclear as Charlotte cops continue their investigation into the horror gun fight, but they have stated that a woman and a teen, 17, who were found in the home following the shootout are being questioned.
A woman and a 17-year-old boy were found in the home after the three-hour standoff that included armored vehicles crashing into the suburban home in a tree-lined neighborhood and tearing off doorways and windows.
Locals within the neighborhood spoke of the chaos that unraveled, with one telling The Charlotte Observer: 'All of a sudden it sounded like Vietnam out there'.
He added that at around 3.45pm, there was an estimated 30 or 40 police cars at the scene, stating that whoever was in the house was still there.
Firearms felon opened fire on Charlotte cops leaving four dead
Terry Clark Hughes, 39, (pictured), was wanted for possession of a firearm by felon, and felony flee to elude out of Lincoln County, before he was shot dead on Monday, according to CMPD.www.dailymail.co.uk
Chief Jennings said they initially thought there might be multiple shooters because of gunfire coming from the front and back of the house.
“The officers were actually approaching the residence when they took on gunfire. The suspect, at the time, had an upper advantage to the officers, so he was shooting from upstairs, down at the officers, both front and back, which also could be an indication that we thought maybe there were multiple shooters at the time too, because gunshots were coming from multiple locations within the house. So that’s part of the investigation we have to sort through, and we will certainly come to a conclusion on that at some point,” Chief Jennings explained.
Police said they recovered an AR-15 rifle as well as a 40-caliber handgun from the home. Two women who were in the home are also being questioned. One of them is a juvenile. Police said they were in the home voluntarily but did not disclose their relationship to the Hughes.
Chief Jennings said both women are cooperating in the investigation, and they have not been charged at this time.
Was there a second shooter in Charlotte? Here's what the police chief said
So far, investigators have only identified one suspect.www.wfmynews2.com
“Two females that were inside the residence were brought in to be interviewed by detectives,” CMPD wrote on X.
Chief Jennings said at Tuesday’s press conference that one was 17 years old and the other was “a little older.” He declined to comment on their relationship to Terry Clark Hughes Jr, who was fatally shot yesterday.
The police chief said authorities weren’t ruling out possibility of arrest, but confirmed they have not been charged with any crime.
He also said that there is a possibility that there was a “second shooter” in the home.
That theory seems to have emerged because Hughes was shooting from upstairs, but shots were fired “down at the officers both front and back,” potentially indicating that there was more than one shooter.

Yeah, theres a lot of questions that need to be answered. From a legal point of view , both people will most likely point the finger at the other and claim innocence, then it leaves the investigators to sort out who shot who Because each lawyer is going to claim the the other guy did it and my client is innocent which means the police have to figure out who shot what gun at what officer, what rooms they were in yadda yaddda yadda . its a hot legal mess. And to complicate it further , there are only two guns recovered that we know of at this point .Sooo....., did the CMPD immediately swab the hands of these two women for gunshot residue? Test their clothes for gunshot residue? Look at their videos to see if there were or were not shots being fired from inside the home where these two women were AFTER Hughes was shot and killed?
Seems pretty fucking straightforward to me. Not at all sure what the delay is on reporting about this. Unless they are trying to get their story straight.
If you wanted to take an opponent, do you do it when he's entrenched in a fort or wait until they leave that secure space? I'd have waited until he went out and nabbed him then.....but what do I know?No knock raid in early morning hours on a guy suspected of selling guns without a license
Knock on door for a guy who’s a known violent felon in possession of multiple weapons.
Seems these agencies don’t go about carrying out these warrants in the most logical manner
Based on the comments section at that site it's a surprise a race war hasn't broken out yet. Holy cow. Hadn't ever heard of that site before this. Definitely not your average commenters.Based on the comments section at that site it's a surprise a race war hasn't broken out yet. Holy cow. Way too many angry people on al gore's internet.
FIGURESHere is reported picture of the initial shooter from X and Heavy.com. And somewhat shocking it is also reporting that the two individuals who later exited the home where hundreds of rounds were apparently fired on the officers (and either one or both are believed to have been shooting at the cops) are women! One is reported to be 17 years old.
Yeah no shit ! The south isn’t the bastion of paradise like some think it is. There is a very tenuous undercurrent down there . I bump into it almost every time that I’m down there every summer.Based on the comments section at that site it's a surprise a race war hasn't broken out yet. Holy cow. Exactly what should’ve happened in both instancesIf you wanted to take an opponent, do you do it when he's entrenched in a fort or wait until they leave that secure space? I'd have waited until he went out and nabbed him then.....but what do I know?

You’re not going to find what I’m talking about on any population demographics maps my friend.Doesn't tell the whole story. Not all of the south is the same. It's like saying all of NY state is NYC.
These maps are interesting if you don't know this information. Some things are correlation and not a coincidence.

Not all the south is the same and certain parts have more crime And civil unrest than others.
Tennessee and Kentucky are not the same as the Carolinas.
Northern Alabama is not the same as the western Mississippi delta.
The South is very interesting to learn about and it absolutely has problems but the problems you're referring to are not everywhere. The north also has plenty of problems here but some areas have more problems than others do. It shouldn't be a shock where you expect to see tension and potential for explosive unrest. Avoid cities in certain areas. Cookeville TN does not have the same unrest risk potential as Asheville NC or Charlotte or Atlanta.
The "War of Northern Aggression" is still a thing down here in SC!You’re not going to find what I’m talking about on any population maps my friend.
I can agree 100%. I visited a brother who was living in north carolina roughly 25 years ago. I met his landlord's family and they told me that joke about yankees and damned yankees lol.The "War of Northern Aggression" is still a thing down here in SC!
Things may be softening a bit with everyone moving from up North (myself included) being here, but many native Southerner's (and those who have acclimated after living here a good length of time) will still openly tell ex-Northener's and others moving here to leave any lib state values and political beliefs back there, - or don't move here. They will tell them, - "don't move here because you are unhappy with the shithole you are leaving, and then try to change things here to what you left in the first place...". They half jokingly refer to Northener's who come here as "Yankees", and those who stay as "dammed Yankees".
That never bothered me as I am originally from the South, and a die-hard conservative.
