American automakers are backing off EVs and their projections because the Americans don’t want them. Many say cost is a big prohibiting factor. I’ll say china might fix the cost issue with making them in Mexico. I still don’t want one but what will others do?

I heard that GM is planning on keeping their diesel half ton around for another 5 years, with considerations for a longer term approach to bio fuels.

That right there tells me something.

Ethanol and Biodiesel/renewable diesel are the future. Maybe throw some hydrogen in there too.

None of them are going whole hog on EVs anymore because they all see the writing on the wall. They have all said batteries are a stopgap and they think hydrogen is the future from what I have read.
