The Chinese own a bunch of farmland as well as farming operations. This is nothing new. Buy local when you can…know your farmer, know your food.

It's very bad. I saw stories that china is trying to use shell companies to do similar things near many large military bases.

There are all sorts of nefarious things they can do from there. Do signals intelligence collection, human intelligence, espionage, radar and coms jamming, setup covert portable surface to air missiles, etc

We deserve to lose ww3 if we are stupid enough and compromised enough to allow our future adversary to establish large real estate tracts in proximity to our military.
