F/S Chinese Type 53

Something I dont shoot anymore, and with 4 other Mosin's this one needs to go. Like most Type 53's it is ugly and well used. Most of the bluing is worn. Shoots as you would expect. Bore is in good shape.

The stock has two cracks both shown in the pictures, and is missing one of the barrel band springs. I refinished the stock with linsed oil, and covered it in a shellac, to try to accurately copy what the rifle was like new.

Asking $175, I do not want to ship it, I'm located in Utica , and willing to travel a little bit to make the sale. Buyer pays transfer fee at FFL of their choice.

Fun gun to shoot. If you dont know much about Type 53's, I'll give a brief. Basically China bought the arsenal tooling for the M44 from the Soviets, And built their own version. Identical to a M44 in everyway, with the exception of the wood used. Machine work is far superior to any wartime built M44.
I have four other Mosin's and have no desire to hang on to this one.
