I respectfully disagree . Impeaching trump would be a huge success for them and would embolden them and their whack job supporters. It would completely polarize the country but the Democrats have shown they care only about power. I seriously doubt pence would be much of a problem for them.

Sooner or later the dems/progressives/commies will be back in power. Its just the way it is, things are cyclical and especially since we are fighting an uphill battle against demographics, non stop lying media propoganda and the laws of the land are being ignored and the deep state is operating with relative immunity.... Its just a matter of time.
When the dems get back in power they will do their damned best to totally finish rigging the system and reinforcing the deep state to make sure another trump cannot win again.
After that it won't be pretty for us. People will have to make serious decisions on what is their personal or moral breaking point and what they are willing to do. I think if it reaches this point your best bet is to retreat to a very solid red state, and hope enough like minded others do so as well, hope that state does their own thing ignoring unjust and immoral federal laws (as an example how sanctuary states ignore laws now) and try to live your life in peace and freedom there,
