What I assume is she is a liberal who runs a wildlife refuge and is again the secure the boarder movement. She saw an opportunity to make them look bad and seized. How many of you have walked up to a police vehicle and looked inside of it?

Possibly a civilian truck? If so that in itself is a big no no, but leaving it unlocked, running and unattended is inexcusable. I don't care if she's a lib-greenie, it was on her property, so she has the right to investigate, problem is she didn't have a right to open the door let alone take the gun.
She has the same right to do so that a cop would if they did it to us.
Someone trespassing on her land, leaving a vehicle and an unsecured firearm. In that situation I would also make sure the gun is secure. You never know who is there or why.

So, this is more like a case of your crazy uncle leaving his rifle in an unsecured running truck in your driveway, so you secure the truck, take the rifle and call his wife to come get it.

Back in the day when I found unsecured weapons I left them there but first found a small round rock that barely would not fit in the barrel extension. The rock was placed in the breech and the bolt slammed home a few times. Have fun explaining that one.

This woman is an activist. Open Boarders, Environmental, and Political. She leads a non profit (apparently of both legitimate and money laundered funding) that runs a "butterfly" preserve that was converted from a failed onion field. This non profit is run on donations that are sourced from private citizens concerned about butterfly habitat, as well as far left open borders organizations to stop the border wall through these fields long used for illegal border crossings, from those who profit from smugglers / cartel / trafficking, and even money from never Trumper political pacs. This is the Area that Pelosi got named a "you will never build a wall through this butterfly preserve" in the bills to fund the wall and activist left Judges stopped the Trump administration from using other funds and even private donations to fund a wall through this long heavily trafficked area.
