How exactly are blackpowder revolvers and revolving carbines classified? As a rifle/pistol or as muzzleloaders?
I didn't say that at all. You can definitely hunt with a .44 cal BP revolver during any time when you can hunt or have a regular handgun afield with you. Based on last year's regs, you can't hunt with or have one afield during muzzleloader season, specifically, because the DEC treats black powder revolvers the same as any other modern handgun for hunting purposes. Later when I have more time, I'll like you to the specific regs on that (and see if it changed from last year to this year).<< loads 12ga shotgun shells with black powder can i hunt hummmm lol @Xae289 .. i'd like to see the regs on that .. you can hunt with a 10mm glock but not a 44cal PB revolver .. seems odd ..
not sure what the op is really asking for ..
Found the reference, fyi and for anyone who's interested. Circled in red in the attached picture from the DEC website and here's the link (under the muzzleloader section): Deer and Bear Hunting Regulations<< loads 12ga shotgun shells with black powder can i hunt hummmm lol @Xae289 .. i'd like to see the regs on that .. you can hunt with a 10mm glock but not a 44cal PB revolver .. seems odd ..
