Well my gun storage closet is getting too full. I have my range bag, cleaning supplies, and some gun cases in there and they just have o simply go somewhere else. With Biden’s plans I’m stocking up on parts too so I have to find a way to organize them. I already found an LPK, a buffer tube, shotgun rounds, .22lr, and 10 boxes of .223 hiding.
I have more ammo than I thought. Of course none of these are complaints.

Found a lot more shotgun ammo, more .22lr, was spot on with 9mm. More .223 than I though by 800 rounds, found brand new 9mm and .45 self defense rounds. I’ll finish tomorrow the wife wanted to hang out.

Just did this yesterday myself. My storage cabinet was a mess. Sorted it pretty good, but it needs more work to be real organized. Found some parts i forgot i had too.

For starters, I found an unopened box from TSUSA from December 2019.......just before I ended up in the hospital for 3 months.
It contained 250 rounds of 357......250 rounds of 38 SP..........2X 1100 round boxes of Federal 36 grain hollow point 22 LR and 200 rounds of 7.62x54r.
I had already uncovered a box containing 200 rounds of 357 last month that I didnt know I had.
Then I found 20!!!! 50 round boxes of some goofy Remington 10mm target rounds that fracture upon impact reducing chances of ricochet. I do remember adding a few boxes to orders over the last few years because it was very cheap. But 20 boxes.....I had no idea.

I’m going to keep a tally this time. I normally have no clue what I have. I count and I’m like oh more than I thought great!! Then I do it again next year.
I’m seriously lacking in .45 Acp target rounds. I have nearly the same amount of self defense rounds as I do target rounds. It was my next caliber to stock up on before things went crazy. I had the money but I was being cheap and I should have just bought some. One mistake I made this last year for sure.

I think its good to be a little ocd on stuff like this. Problem is i have more ammo than i can carry so its best to spread it out.

I found a bunch last year cleaning the garage. I probably picked up the FedEx box before my wife came out an put it in the garage so she wouldn't see me bringing it in. I found 12ga turkey loads, 45 ACP, 6.5 Grendel and a box of 300 5.56 still wrapped in the packaging.

Consider moving your ammo to cans.

I watch Rural King for ammo can sales, can usually get their .50 cal cans for under $10 apiece, shipped, once they go on sale (~$12/can is the normal price). They're not milsurp, they're Chinese, but they seal tight and work well. Grab a bag of silica gel packs from Amazon and throw one in each can just to be safe.

I started to clean up my gun room and the key word is started! I did find a full (100) sleeve of SRP that must've fallen off the bench and was overlooked. By todays prices that's about $10! I've got so much shit shoved in the closet I can't really put any more in there or even close the door, it's really shameful, but oh well it's my shit.

Salt any update buddy? You find anything else in there? A small child or an old ham sandwich perhaps? I need to get my holsters organized. I got a bunch out taking up half of my dresser. I need to box up all the ones I don't use pretty much every day. They add up quick when you have OWB and IWB for everything and a few for guns with lights.

I found another 400 rounds .223 I forgot I had tossed in an ammo can with some ammo I bought from cgrutt. I also just found a Ruger LCPII mag I forgot about in my big safe. I toss all my guns and ammo in there for vacation and it must have been pushed to the back.
I’m super organized now!! I’m like a proud poppa now.

I had an 8 gun stack on cabinet for years. It became full and my wife was complaining that stuff was in my closet and under the bed. I ended up building a room in my basement. It's 4' deep, 5½' wide, 6½' tall. Three shelves, all the way around, peg board 3' down from the top. It's full. I have it fairly well organized and all my ammo is in labeled 50 cal cans.

I have a "rechargeable" dehumidifier in there and I run another one that keeps the entire basement at 50%rh.

Without the dehumidifier, my basement will run nearly 80% in the summer. I have a frigidaire with a built-in humidistat that will do 70 pints of day. I piped it into a condensate pump so no emptying buckets

I do the same. 50% RH and mines piped into my sump pump.
