It's kind of an 'everyone sucks here' situation, maybe including the guy who got shot, but is it really so hard to understand why she isn't being charged ? If you got out of the car and found someone strangling your wife.. pretty sure you'd reasonably believe her life was in danger and do whatever was in your power to do to stop it; at least I'd hope so.

The felon is being charged with the weapon, which is of obviously correct.

D) interpretation of the law can work for or against anyone.

Unless the story as written and the facts are not true, I can see how the decision not to charge was made.

Getting involved in situations like this is always risky. Especially if they leave the context area for which it began and others enter the situation without contextual knowledge.

He wasn’t trying to apprehend him to have him arrested . The felon escalated to a fight.
The firefighter did what he did because he was a man defending a woman as many of us were raised to do. Not because he was playing cop.

So to typically over analyze this I want to get this straight. Felon is arguing with store clerk in the establishment. Firefighter steps in. Firefighter and felon continue arguing outside establishment. Felon pulls firearm. Struggle between firefighter and felon ensues over firearm. Firearm is taken by felons girlfriend. Felons girlfriend shoots firefighter in the back, killing him while they continue to struggle on the ground.

This could be viewed a bunch of different ways and the overall outcome was completely unnecessary.

When the struggle goes to the ground and the girlfriend retrieved the firearm, did she NEED to shoot him?
Where did the felon obtain the firearm? That individual should be charged too.
De escalation and possibly losing the machismo battle would have ended this immediately.

This perfectly demonstrates how milliseconds can change not only the outcome but also what's right from wrong. Just a few seconds difference in time from when the girlfriend retrieve the firearm to the time the shot was fired changes it all from self defense to homicide.

The felon that escalated the situation by introducing a deadly weapon was still fighting so the FF was still trying to get him under control, for the felons GF to shoot does not seem justified. This is what happens with woke, Soros funded AGs.
