"The bullet meant for his heart shattered his wrist instead," she said.
"The second bullet went in through his right thigh and shattered his femur," she added.
He spent the day in surgery and is now in stable condition, she said.
Lucky for the victim. At least he'll live with "minor" injuries.
Someone should ask a handy nearby Liberal where the police were when this happened? Oh...they can't be everywhere? RIGHT! I have no idea if this clerk could have even used a firearm in his situation. After all, it is nearly impossible to successfully draw on an already deployed firearm. But, if he had one, he'd at least have had an option if an opportunity arose.
At least since I live in Westchester, if this ever happened to me, I'd then have "a compelling reason" to have a concealed firearm. All I'd have to do is get the gunmen to give me a chance to contact my local pistol permitting judge and have the judge pick up one of my pistols from my home and deliver it to me so that I could protect myself.
