Yes this probably is the best price for sure. I know I have one and spent more but I’ve used it once. I say buy a 10/22 and have another gun in your safe.

I've got a few 10/22's and still like playing with this thing in an AR.

Mini mags are good I prefer them over most other 22 ammo.

I feed it whatever is on hand - lately Thunderbolts, Golden Bullets and federal target.

If it starts acting funny, pull the bolt and brush out the chamber, then give it a wipe down and relube.

Now that you mention it, it's kind of weird. For some reason psychologically, I'd rather buy the CMMG conversion above a whole other rifle, despite the fact that I'll take any excuse to buy a new gun.

Then again, not needing a transfer and being able to shoot an AR-15 for pennies on the dollar does have a nice appeal too.

I felt the same way, but then i just never used it other than the 1 time.

That's a big part of it for me. I have a 50 yard range out back but I generally don't shoot my AR there, not because of concerns about safety (my nearest neighbor is about 1000 feet away in the opposite direction) - just the noise.
