You are probably right but (to me) that's the point, and while I don't buy guns to have them appreciate, I can see these going the same as other CMP hardware over time (harder to get, at lower qualities, and more expensive). I haven't really looked at CMP stuff for a while so may be wildly offbase- if I am, good.
I'm not really even a 1911 guy, but I'd like to have one of these. To paraphrase Dr. Seuss, "Oh the places you may have been."
If you get a colt it’s worth the money if not likely not worth it.No pre inspection so you get what they give you. Pricey. But a piece of history. If you get a Colt, you can probably get a letter for it.
