It seems that the suspect was involved in a fight off campus before going to school which lead Ramapo police to the campus. It states that the police developed information that suspect had a weapon.. (it wouldn't surprise me if he threaten the victim with the shotgun or said something stupid, like I'll shot you.?? )

My grandma use to tell me back in her day kids rode to school with rifles hanging on their back windows and guess what? No one shot up their school. I don’t see an issue with this.
