I guess you are referring to me. I am not involved with any "crowd" as you so eloquently posted. I too went through the whole experience over there and had my hopes raised and crushed with the situation. At times I didn't trust and felt betrayed. It is possible too much was discussed before things should have been discussed. Maybe that is also a part of the reason a lot isn't being mentioned now other than what we all know. I personally don't believe anything was done intentionally to screw anyone. I also don't know too many who would devote a good deal of their personal time to try and change the situation while asking for very little if any money. I know nothing about the legal profession as I am not an attorney. I do know about the profession I am in though and anyone not in my profession who thinks they know the ins and outs of it better than me is delusional. There are many arm chair attorneys out there who fluff their chest and hurl all kinds of insults all because they know enough to be dangerous. In some regards I can understand folks being scarred from their experience over there ON BOTH SIDES. So you think you know what was going on in Ricks life that should automatically have him pick up where he left off because you think he should have? You are obviously a better man than me. No body knows what his life is like other than Rick himself. What I came to know of him was a good man who got in over his head a bit. I have busted my ass in Albany, speaking at political meetings, school board meetings, calling politicians, posting news related articles on here, trying to do what ever I could do to stay in the fight. I was willing to be part of a class action suit against the state and jeopardize my professional license by going after the state while exposing myself publicly. I ignored my family to a great extent when I was home due to this fight becoming a part time job. So, you expected some form of result. Me too. Well, boo-hoo that they let you down. I for one am grateful for those who even lift a finger to help me in this pathetic situation we are in let alone those who attempt to work hard at doing what needs to be done even if it has to be done a certain way and takes a certain amount of time, even if it doesn't meet your approval. Some may be retired or have a job that they can get anywhere and therefore have an easier ability to pick up and leave NY. I don't have that luxury currently. It took me time to build my practice and have one son in college and one a senior in high school so for the near future, NY is my home. I will stay and fight. So, go ahead and don't trust. That's your prerogative. Maybe you can lead the charge since you know what needs to be done and in what fashion. I'm sure those fighting will gladly step aside so you can work your magic. Just understand that if any of those on here have any issues with anything you do or say they will tear you to shreds. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go pound some salt.
Not asking you to trust blindly. I on the other hand am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt even based on the lack of previous results. I also don't believe that at times nothing is happening just because you don't see concrete evidence of things being done as the process is occurring. I'm sure there was time and effort put into drafting this bill and reaching out to representatives that we weren't kept abreast of. It would be helpful though if you left the personal attacks and insults out of your negativity especially since you had nothing to do writing the bill and with getting Collins to at least sponsor the attempt to change things.

The cheer leading coach came into the gym and said, "I need a few guys to come hold up some girls." I quickly raised my hand and followed the coach. That was the beginning of me being a cheerleader for the Hartford Hawks men's division II basketball team for two seasons. Enjoyed the fringe benefits with the female cheer leaders. Long story short, I guess old habits die hard.

Yeah, I have no experience too. Because of this I really don't understand the whole process and possible reasons why pistols weren't included yet. You are correct as far as wanting any improvement even if it currently falls short of everything I want. Finally, based on the information I had at the time, yes, I was supportive and proactive about what we were shooting for.
I happily admit none. That's why at this point, I'm willing to not second guess those who are and know more about the process than I do.

Well, that's one persons opinion, and everyone knows that old saying about opinions. Here is a prime example.......... Tresmond's have been involved in the fight against NY SAFE since Day One, at the cost of a great deal of uncompensated time and effort. I will stand with them. Talk is cheap, and "well done" is a thousand times better than "well said."
