Ninth trumps Tenth according to some analyses. If the "right" of abortion can be fabricated from thin air by citing the ninth amendment, they I can certainly claim the right to defend enumerated rights under the ninth amendment.

I tried reading this whole thread, but way to much bickering. All i can say is i hope this goes somewhere. I havent read up on it in depth, but im all for any incremental forward progress we can make. The same way the antis take it from us is how we can hope to get our rights back.

Been a while. I know it is easy to be pessimistic here in NY, lord knows I have been but I have been in contact with several of the people who helped write this bill and who have been working to get it signed into law. They are all intelligent and passionate people and while I know its easy to be apprehensive we all need to throw our support behind this bill. One of the biggest complaints I am hearing from the people involved is that there has been a lot of negatively, especially on social media, when it comes to promoting this bill. As it is my understanding, this bill can either be passed with 60 votes or 51 if passed with an appropriations bill. What do you have to lose supporting this bill?
I know its hard, but stay positive. Aside from Kolbe this might be our best shot.

I was just talking about this in a different post. The bill was introduced 22 days ago, not one single cosponsor to date 8-18-17

I don't think anyone is "NOT" supporting this bill. They are just pessimistic that it will not go anywhere based on the shenanigans of our own party who have been bought and paid for to not support it and go full steam ahead.
Also, the lack of support from the NRA is sickening and telling. This bill should be plastered at every gun shop, rifle range, ECT. It's the NRA's job to inform so that we pressure the senators and representatives.
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
This bill is going nowhere. No co-sponsors in 22 days. That should tell you all you need to know.
It's a feel good measure, it's smoke and mirrors. Here's another Republican politician who is introducing a piece of legislation that allows him/her to grandstand at rallies and press conferences that him/her are "standing up for the 2nd Amendment" all the while KNOWING his/her efforts are going nowhere.
Chris Collins has high negatives, especially when he's made to look like a horses ass in the national media when he openly admits he votes on legislation he doesn't even bother to read. Then he's attached at the hip to unsavory characters and investigated for insider trading violations. This isn't Steve McLaughlin we're talking about who is in my humble opinion the most honest and trustworthy Republican to ever serve in an elected capacity in ANY office of Government. This is Chris Collins, no more honest, trustworthy, or committed to the cause than the Democrats he runs and cowers from in the House of Representatives.
If Chris Collins had the strength of his convictions, he'd run for Governor. Notice how he isn't ? That's because he's fat, drunk, and happy living off your misery and skimming off the top as a Congressman.
You people are being duped once again. Hopes raised, only to have them crushed so another RINO can get reelected on YOUR backs and the backs of those who believe in the Constitution.
We have one shot at overturning Unsafe and that's in SCOTUS and we're a long way from getting there.
I went to his photo op at the Hamburg Gun Club, and even took the time to talk to him. I agree, - I don't see this thing going ANYWHERE! I have checked out various other Bills introduced in the House around the same time, and some of those have dozens of initial cosponsors. I have also been checking on his Bill, HR3576, and as you guys noted, - yep, EXACTLY ZERO cosponsors so far!
Hell, even HR38, the National Reciprocity Bill which has 208 cosponsors (only 218 needed to pass legislation in the House) is going nowhere so far! Collins bill appears to be worth less than the paper it is written on.
All it will take is some fucked up incident to occur, and you can kiss any chance at passing any pro gun bill in Congress. I am completely disgusted at the actions of the RINO fuckers, - especially Paul Ryan.

Collins IS my Rep. I support SCOPE, the group behind this effort. I took time off work and went to Collin's announcement at the Hamburg Gun club. I spoke to him, and offered my support. I have contacted the members of the House Committee that is responsible for passing out HR38 and HR3576 to be voted on in the house.
Am I poking a little fun at it's lack of progress? Absolutely! It's called sarcasm! you know, - /sarc?
What more would you have me do? I still work every day to support my family. What have you done?

Personally I don't poke fun at people that are in my boat. I take my gun rights and all my other rights seriously.
Now on to your question as to "What have you done?"
Well let me think about that for a moment. I am a NRA certified Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun Instructor. I have my own shooting range which
many of my friends use every week. I write my Reps on issues as can be seen here.

This piece of legislation protects law-abiding gun owners when they travel between states.
