The shop I go to has a Cimarron Walker in 44mag.
Its super heavy and surprisingly well made.
I dont remember the cost but I like it.
Theu also have several other models of Cimarron and Uberti in everything from 38 Special to 44 magnum.
I also like the Uberti 1875 Cattleman in 45 Colt.

I've had a variety of black powder pistols over the years including the Walker, what a cannon! The pistols are easy to buy, no permit required unless you want to shoot them. Then they have to be added to your pistol permit.
When I tried to sell my Ruger Old Army, I found out it needed to be added to the buyers NY permit since it's been registered as a firearm.

I have a reproduction made by Uberti. They are a blast to shoot. Wouldn't use it for much more than range time fun or well a hammer.

I also have a Colt Navy reproduction as well. Same thing just smaller.
