Love the whole "getting guns off our streets" narrative. It shows how stupid these people really are. I see a bunch of old long guns ordered from a Sears and Roebuck catalog. People probably figured they could make a few bucks. What I dont see are loads of pistols carried by thugs. They arent stupid enough to turn in their guns.

If I had a gun shop near one of these I'd stand outside and scan the guns coming in. If the state is offering $150 for a gun I could sell for $500 or more I'd direct them to my shop where I'd buy it from them for $250. Everybody wins

Listen, I've been to these events and 90% of the stuff that comes in is shit, or stuff that you can't legally sell or deal with... "Hey, are you going to sell that Glock at the buy-back?"

I know a Dealer in Albany that got his start making friends at the VFW and American Legon: someone (usually old farts) wanting to get rid of their guns: He would look them up in a current Blue Book, grade them, and offer 70% of the value which was often much more than they thought they were worth... everybody left happy, and there wasn't any worry about who they sold the gun(s) to.
