Chicago's tally for 2016 ~~~~ 795 murdered.....5 short of the 800 goal, HOWEVER, this number could be revised as some of those shot, may die over the next few days.

4378 people shot in 2016. You're safer in Afghanistan.... a person is shot every 2 hours and person is murdered every 11 hours in chicago

Well, as of right now, the City of Buffalo has Chiraq's 2016 rate of 2 murders / day beat! There have been 4 separate shootings with 3 dead and one critical... That puts Buffalo 50% ahead of Chiraq's daily murder rate so far in 2017!

Nothing like those inner city thugs shooting it out with each other!

Ummm no, how many people are in Chicago? Millions. How many troops do we have in Afghanistan? 9800. As of October 2016 there were 6 service members killed and 2 DOD civilians killed. Casualties in Afghanistan 8/9800 is a much higher rate than the casualties in Chicago 795/millions.

everytime I mention the death rate in Chicago (too anyone) the first thing they say to me is "But downtown and the tourist areas are safe" ...... wtf? apparently if you're inside some "safe zone" black on black crime is a-ok? lock and load....fire away :banghead:

Add in the Afghan population, and Chicago "wins" easily. Not to be a dick about this, but it really pisses me off when some bombing or attack occurs somewhere, and all the friggin' talking heads talk about is the one or two American casualties. The ONLY reason Chicago hits the news is because it can be tailored to advance the anti gun narrative.

The latest estimate for the population of Chicago comes from the US Census Bureau. They confirmed that, in July 2011, there were 2,707,120 people living in the city of Chicago. American casualties are all I care about and the only ones that can be reliably tracked. Your citation only accounts for civilian casualties from war there are no crime statistics included, are we to assume in a population of 32 million there is no murder? Sorry I don't buy any of it.
