The state approved rate hikes this week and in some cases people could see double digit increases.

When will it stop? It’s getting to the point that I can no longer afford life since all this is hitting at the time my son is going to college.

Why yes, yes it is. I was hoping to do just that in two years but with the way things are looking now it will most likely have to be in five years now. HOPEFULLY

So I'm in a position where I can transition to PA kind of seemlessly. I have a friend who I can live with in PA. As long as I do so "most" of the time, I can legally move, I'd assume, my tax jurisdiction to PA and occasionally come back to my house in NY and complete the renovations before selling when the time is right. Considering it costs me $0 to potentially stay in PA, legally, it would allow me to get health insurance there among other things like moving my firearms there (and locked, of course). Fortunately I trust this person around my firearms, but I wouldn't ever leave them not-locked in a strong safe when I'm not there.

It may be time to legally move my jurisdiction there.

Insurance companies are so damn cheap it's insane. So they had me tested for sleep apnea again recently. They wouldn't do the full test on me. They had me first in the same night do the "do you even have sleep apnea" test, because if it came back negative (it did) they didn't want to pay for me to do the full one cause they're that cheap. They have to be that granular.

I love when I get the unsolicited calls from our insurance company offering to send their 'medical professional' to our home for an exam. Before hanging up on them I ask the representative if they go to their doctor to advise them on insurance? When they say no I ask them why they'd expect anyone to go to their insurance company for medical advice or an exam? I don't wait for an answer, I don't tell them to have a nice day, after saying i didn't call you, I just hang up.

They were free but the government literally told people that they will attempt to bill insurance companies for anything that they can. I worked one of the sites local o me and they said we can’t for the shot since it’s experimental, but we will attempt to bill your insurance company for the labor involved in doing so. Of course this was prior to any FDA approval so I’m sure now that it is approved they are dumping it on insurance companies.
