Real genuine compromise is where both sides get what they want and give up something they don't want to. A genuine compromise would be something like this:
Background checks for gun purchases and pistol and rifle licenses are needed. In turn that gets legal gun owners the ability to buy anything they want including SBRs suppressors etc and since they are vetted they are allowed to carry anywhere and with state reciprocity no sensitive zones either.
See, real compromise will never happen so it's best for us to fight for everything possible and give up nothing. The left is not interested in compromise they are only interested in incrementally achieving their goals and for use to negotiate with them in good faith is a fools errand.
