So I looked on their website, it says no CC but not to sure if anyone is familiar with them. Do they have metal detectors? Do they do pat down? Is this considered a government/state area or something to where it’s actually illegal to CC?

I’m going to the doobie brothers with my grandparents on Sunday.

I have no idea about this venue, never heard of it. But if it's somehow affiliated with a church or school that is a different can of worms.

If they don't have metal detectors at the door, there's nothing preventing you from carrying. If you're not certain if are in compliance with laws or not be very careful and mindful of what you are doing and how you are presenting yourself. Do not attract attention. Do not print. Do not drop your gun.

And have a backup plan. This is my "go to move" when I get jammed up at an unexpected metal detector. I keep a lockbox anchored hidden in my car for these scenarios. If I walk up some where and there are metal detectors I calmly just outloud tell my wife, oops sorry hunny I forgot to lock the car I'll be right back. Then go low key do what you gotta do to safely and securely store your pistol that you didn't have in the first place.

I keep my pocket knife clipped to that pocket. If I beep, I leave to put the knife in the car. If they don't check or I don't beep, all is well.

The last few events I went to, they have a security check point. Your funneled in like cattle, and they have you empty your pockets and they do a pay down. No metal detectors, but that was Pre Covid. Almost couldn’t get my keys in once..,keysmart setup and I had to open the keys up in a fan to prove it wasn’t a knife.

I have the Scottevest EDC jacket and their quest vest, as well. I HIGHLY recommend them, btw. My EDC Jacket from Scottevest has 30 pockets in it. There is a place for a handgun and mags, laptop, cellphones, RFID pocket for passport and cards, glasses, pens, ear buds, keys with lanyard, armor plates, knives, tazers, and anything else you could imagine that could fit in the jackets 30 pockets.

The quest vest has 42 pockets, and can hold everything mentioned above, plus. In both items, vest and jacket, there are exterior pockets, interior pockets, hidden pockets, pockets within pockets, removable pockets, secret pockets, mesh pockets, full length dump pockets, concealed carry pockets, thin pen and flashlight pockets, zippered pockets, velcro pockets, magnetic closure pockets, flapped pockets, and many specific pockets for specific items. Literally each jacket and vest has a detailed "directory map" to show where each pocket is on the jacket.

These jackets and vests would be perfect to get past the usual pat down. If you were to wear both together, my EDC jacket and my quest vest, i would have a total of 72 hidden and concealable pockets to store whatever you want. Fill them up to the max, and you could probably halt the "security" line for about an hour, just with emptying each pocket.

Real talk though, i highly recommend their stuff. The EDC jacket especially, and the quest vest. They are a little pricey, but right now they are running a Fathers day sale of 30% off with DAD2022 code.
