It is totally f'd that national recipricity has become not much more than a virture signal of a bill these days, but it is a good thing that it keeps coming up rather than just disappearing. The left keeps bringing up bills that seemingly have no chance, but then one day they do (the long game).
I do think the Bruen ruling really has opened the flood gates, both with taking on established gun control and with putting forth new and recycled pro-gun bills.

This is so screwed. By any Senator dealing with this issue just proves they all should be booted. I can't find anywhere in the Constitution where the right to bear arms begins or ends at a State line.

It’s all a bunch of BS. This is only done to get respective politicians re-elected. If republicans truly care about gun rights, why didn’t they pass this when they controlled Congress and the presidency in the past? If democrats truly care about abortion why didn’t they codify abortion into federal law at any point in the last 50 years when they controlled both congress and the presidency? Both sides Are full of shit.

to be honest, the Democrats probably figured they would not have to face a day when Roe V. Wade was overturned. They believed it "Settled Law" and untouchable.
What surprises me is they aren't trying to do so NOW, when they supposedly have all three branches. one would think they would at least try, even if they can't break a filibuster, to keep their base happy.

They make a "headline" that is a stupid futile statement that they know to be false, but they are so convinced of their base's stupidity that they know it will be successful.
Example: Trump was observed sneaking out of the White House and stealing Mailboxes to stop ballots by mail.
They plant the story, the press parrots it, their base reads it and BOOM mission accomplished.

Historically the House will flip in the mid-terms. But that was before the legalized cheating with COVID ballots.
If "we" (the collective we that is disgusted by the clown world) don't flip the House and the Senate in November it means that the US is now just like NY.
If you love your country, get off your lazy ass and vote against all Democrats in November. Then grab your family members by the short hair and make them vote against them also. Then make them all find 5 people to do the same. And, when someone says It doesn't matter, your vote won't count, kick him in the balls.
