I sold a couple guns at local shops, seemed like 25% is the asking rate and some will discount that on a higher priced gun at least they did for me. On the cheaper guns like a few hundred they wouldn't budge on the higher end I got him down to 20% and may have been able to do better.

Consignment rate at the shop my FiL part times at in MI is 15-20%. Depends on the gun I think but not sure, I could ask.

If you are looking to sell any 'higher end' guns - Doug Turnbull's shop is probably the place to do it. A friend had very good results with consigning a few firearms there, just saying.

I should qualify the 10%, that is for long guns. Handguns will be more as there is a lot more hassle. Gunbroker also charges a fee. I have been looking at that site as there are a couple of guns that need to be out of here.
I believe gb is @6% +- depending on sale price.
