The radio waves are meant for the police just the same as your cellphone is made for you. If you call 911, it'll get pulled for evidence just the same as a radio transmission. You yourself can say whatever phrase you want to the 911 Operator too.

What would you suggest as an alternative when a murder suspect is fleeing and shooting at you? Serious question.Soooo, judge, jury and executioner, not sure that's how it's supposed to work.
Cops should ask nicely if people like this are willing to accompany them to a judge for a conversation.
I don't know the answer to that, I'm not a cop or a lawyer. It seems to me that cop just took it upon himself to assassinate her. She may have been the most evil bitch to walk the earth but in this country you are allowed due process, she was not. I've seen plenty of videos with way more dangerous people taken into custody before carrying out a death sentence. YMMV

You really think that they saw an opportunity to legally kill someone and took it just because they could? C'mon man. A MURDER suspect (amongst other crimes suspected) is fleeing the cops and SHOOTING at them. Lethal force is not just authorized, it's prudent and NECESSARY. A person wildy shooting wherever to avoid capture is putting everyone in the vicinity at risk with stray bullets.
Is it disturbing to see someone run down with a car? Yep. Is it more disturbing to see some innocent kid sitting at their living room table shot through the head because some dirtbag was indiscriminately shooting at cops/others to evade capture. Most definitely. When lethal force is needed, lethal force should be used.

What do I call it? I call it self defense when someone is shooting at me and I kill them. It has nothing to do with being "operator" or "manly".
If someone was shooting at you, I'd hope that you'd be more than just "offended".

As far as if we could chase her down, the answer would be no. That isn't our job to chase her down and it would no longer be self defense.

Sure you did, otherwise no reason to put it out there.
This wasn't the same as shooting someone, it took way longer to run her down than it would have to shoot, I guess the thrill of the chase got to him and he would not be denied the prize, bravo, great kill.
Seems to me she was outnumbered, outgunned and the coppers had cover but hey why let that keep you from a notch on your belt.

There was no insult intended at all. None. Some have a stronger tolerance for certain things. Some have a weaker tolerance. I have no tolerance, a weaker form, than operating doctors. I couldn't stomach what they do. This cop stopped a serious threat in a matter that makes some uncomfortable, okay we get it. Others, like my self, have no issue with this use of force.

Whether she was outnumbered or outgunned, she was an armed fugitive. What if she had car jacked, or forced her way into someone's home, or taken a hostage?
Like I said, if you didn't intend it you wouldn't put it out there, period.

This is tough to understand for some people. Violence is just that,its violent. The out come some times surprises and disturbs some people. The police mans Job was to stop this women from hurting other people and they did just that. The person driving the car is a hero. They stopped this violent person from hurting other people.
Some people shoot fire arms and see the nice holes they make in paper targets and never seen in person the major damage there possible of. So when they see or hear a gun there used to seeing a 2 dimensional hole in a sheet of paper. But there are some people who in real life.Who have seen some thing with life in it,(ALIVE) become something with no life in it (DEAD) from a tiny little projectile within seconds , We have seen a tiny little hole in the front and a big hole out the back with a giant path of destruction that takes the life out of things (DEAD). This was not a video game with a reset button. this was real life and violent. Most of the people who are out there giving the expert advice on how much force is needed or reasonable to subdue a violent person have never been in a fist fight or a fight for there life EVER , They don't understand they are one action away from being dead, they don't understand what its like to actually think your life or the lives around you are in jeopardy, the officers did there job well in this case. they had a violent action happening and they stopped it.

I think you're misunderstanding the role of a uniformed police officer tasked with apprehending a MURDER suspect as opposed to a non-LEO just going about their daily business. They cops went to her residence to serve an arrest warrant. It's their job to bring her in. She made the decision to run and shoot at the police. What would you have them do? Keep wildly shooting up the neighborhood? The take down was brutal for sure, but that's on her for putting the cops in that spot. No one else to blame but the perp.
I'll just say it.
Anyone against this outcome is an idiot and does not deserve the protection afforded by people willing to do violence to end violent acts, be that person a cop or concerned and willing citizen.
