Cougar killed a cyclist Saturday in WA. State

This past Saturday there were two guys riding bikes over near Nort Bend Washington, a hundred pound male cougar attacked one of the bikers. The other guy tried to get it off of him. When he turned nd ran, the cougar chaned him and killed him. The other got on his bike and rode about 2 miles to where he got cell reception and called for help.
When the police arrived they found the cougar eating on the corpse at which time the cougar ran. They called the game dept. Which got a hold of some one with dogs. They tracked the cougar and shot it. They are doing DNA test on the cougar to make sure they killed the right one.
This happened up in the cascade mountains about 30 miles east of Seattle and about 40 miles south where I go shooting with my grandson

This should solve the problem . put a few of these on the road.

This is a fucked up incident no way you could be prepared for a large cat to pounce on you while riding a bike.

The state trapped and collared a 196 pound cougar a couple of months ago over by Spokane WE.
This one was only a hundred pounds.

kinda funny how we can track down a animal just doing his normal job of eating what ever it can find and kill it not knowing if its the right animal
till after testing ..

BUT we can't have the swift n fast death penalty for humans that have killed another human or are about too .. ( you could have tazed him ) we suing BS ..

how about some signs up .. big shit in the woods that will kill you .. ride with a gun or ride at own risk ..


Poor cat .. prob ate some vegetarian or vegan .. might have been thinking ohhhhh please someone kill me anyways ..

100 lb doesn’t seem like a lot but when you think of what a 10 lb house cat can do with their teeth and claws, it makes sense.

Like you wrote try mess with a 10 pound feral house cat, no fN way. My dealing with feral house cat is with a 22lr bullet in the head first then off to the garbage can.
