Couple’s handguns go missing at Charlotte airport; TSA, airline investigating
The woman claims the guns were properly locked and cased.

There was a Biden cabinet member caught doing that (stealing bags at baggage claim).I have flown in & out of Charlotte Douglas airport (9 miles from home) multiple times with my EDC since moving here in 2018.
And I will say that they DO NOT follow proper procedures. The last time I flew home with mine, I was pissed because when I got to baggage claim, my bag was not at the baggage claim office as I was told it would be.
No, it was right out there on a carousel where anybody and everybody was just picking up bags and leaving. In fact, there have been multiple incidents of people driving to the airport; walking in to baggage claim; picking up random bags and taking them out and driving off.
In one case a guy was tracking his bag with an AirTag, and saw it leaving the airport as he was rushing down to baggage claim. They followed it over to Gastonia, but I think all they got back was an empty suitcase.
Last time I flew, I used one, put it under the padding, and no problem.Well, airtags are cheap insurance these days for tracking a bag!!! Not sure why they wouldn't be used in a checked gun case too... I would absolutely do that!
Don't think he was looking for guns, he wanted the dresses and makeupThere was a Biden cabinet member caught doing that (stealing bags at baggage claim).
True, but he was stealing bags none the less.Don't think he was looking for guns, he wanted the dresses and makeup
Could slip the air tags in the mag well, or under the grips. This is why I will not fly with a gun (it either stays home or I’ll drive).
I’ve had my luggage go missing on a couple different vacations. Lucky the airline tracked it down. (Now I use an airtag. )

But an airtag wouldn’t have helped this couple because their gun case arrived at their destination with the locks cut and guns stolen.
Same with mine in Buffalo. It was late at night and the special baggage pick up office thing was closed. My bags were tagged donit out on carousel special contents or something to that. As soon as I saw the office was closed I ran right back to the carousel as they were dropping my bag on the belt. But it's 100 feet to the nearest iPhone.Don’t AirTags only work in a short range…….100 feet?
